The property where Travis Street Cottages resides has been a part of Granbury Texas History since the early 1950's. The home itself was built in 1917 with the cottages coming in the late 90's. Jim & Pennie Gehring bought the property in 2013 to start the process of realizing Pennie's dream of owning a B&B. "I've always wanted to run a B & B and when I saw the cottages, I thought, this might be even better." They began the daunting process of rebuilding everything, just the two of them! 6 years later, they are still working on finishing the final piece of the puzzle, the last remaining building from the factory, The Stick Horse Saloon! UPDATE: The Stick Horse Saloon is complete! Pennie & Jim want their guests to have a place to escape the everyday routine so they have thought of every detail. This is a place where family and friends can stay and reconnect with one another. "We wanted to make a place just like somewhere we would want to stay, private, clean and oh so comfortable!" The property is located right off the walking trail and mere steps to the Historic Granbury Square. You'll feel as if you're in the country, but you're minutes from all that Granbury has to offer! This is Granbury's hidden treasure!
